Realic\u00e9 una estancia posdoctoral en el Departamento de Matem\u00e1ticas Aplicadas y Ciencias de la Computaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Cantabria. Fui distinguido con la Medalla al M\u00e9rito Universitario de la UAM. Me desempe\u00f1\u00e9 como Investigador por M\u00e9xico SECIHTI de 2017 a 2025 y actualmente soy Profesor Titular C en el Departamento de Ingenier\u00eda El\u00e9ctrica de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma Metropolitana. He asesorado m\u00e1s de veinte proyectos terminales y tesis de licenciatura y posgrado.\r\n\r\nMi trabajo se centra en el estudio de las c\u00e9lulas pancre\u00e1ticas y los islotes de Langerhans, con el objetivo de analizar su funcionamiento en condiciones de salud y enfermedad, particularmente en diabetes tipo 1 y tipo 2, desde una perspectiva biof\u00edsica con un enfoque computacional-experimental. Soy autor de la aplicaci\u00f3n <em>DiabetesID<\/em>, orientada a la detecci\u00f3n temprana de diabetes no diagnosticada en poblaci\u00f3n adulta mexicana mediante m\u00e9todos no invasivos. Cuento con m\u00e1s de treinta publicaciones entre art\u00edculos, revisiones y trabajos en congresos, enfocadas en el modelado matem\u00e1tico y computacional de sistemas fisiol\u00f3gicos. Mi investigaci\u00f3n incluye el desarrollo de herramientas de simulaci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de la din\u00e1mica de c\u00e9lulas e islotes pancre\u00e1ticos, la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de calcio, la actividad de canales i\u00f3nicos, as\u00ed como la reconstrucci\u00f3n, arquitectura y viabilidad de islotes bajo distintas condiciones de ox\u00edgeno, glucosa y vascularizaci\u00f3n.
